Create More Success With Winning Partnerships

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Imagine yourself creating more and more success in winning partnerships. Would this be of interest for you? I guess it would. I meet a lot of people who has excellent business ideas and they possess all the good qualities for succeeding, however they do not achieve the success they want so bad.

The key is winning partnerships where you create a synergy effect together with someone, or several people, making 1+1+1=10. Let us say you have a business idea within health care and you start marketing this. Nothing happens. Perhaps you need to work with a PR agency, a web designer, a newspaper, etc. to reach out to those you are looking for. Is it better to have 100% of $0 or 80% of $100,000? You and I already know the answer! Despite that, very few choose to share the profits with others. Instead of creating more success they choose to have no profit at all.

Partnerships with other people and companies will strengthen both yourself as a person and your business, if you have one, and create more success. When you shall create a winning partnership it is very important to pick the right partner. This should be someone who can do things better, cheaper or faster than you can and help you reach your goals.

Most companies that succeed have a number of partners they co-operate with, where all parties benefit from the partnership. However, many companies fail due to the resistance of sharing the profits with others. The question is; which way shall you choose?

If you choose to co-operate it is very useful to have a contract with your business partner that regulates some kind of royalty or commission to your partner, if he/she helps you succeed. This kind of partnership will attract co-operations since your business partner really believes in you succeeding, otherwise he/she would have chosen getting paid a lump sum for his/hers services. Is there a better acknowledgement that you are on the right track, without having to pay anything until you create success?

So, what can you do?

Exercise:

1. Find areas you need to have in your business but don’t have the competence yourself or the time to develop or perform.

2. Find a company or person that has this competence

3. Decide only for business partners where there is a win-win situation

4. Do not postpone this. Contact the person or company already today

5. Evaluate different partners to find the one(s) that best suit you

6. Define what you bring to the table, i.e. what can you do for you partner, and present this to him/her. It can be a piece of the cake, i.e. a percent of the profit when you succeed, but it can also be other services that you can offer the other party. Do not be to humble about your own strengths.

When you have started a partnership, do not to forget to evaluate the situation before and after. Have you created more success with this partner or not? If not, try to find another partner that suits you better.

Good Luck!

How To Create A Winning Attitude

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Today we will take a look at your attitude towards yourself and others. Most people have heard that a nice attitude in sales is like a craftsman with his toolbox. Imagine the painter who has all the colors and paint brushes, but doesn’t know how to use them. You can have the best tools, but if you’re lacking a nice attitude you will get the same catastrophic results as the painter without his knowledge. A winning attitude is therefore really important to have if you want to succeed.

What is then attitude? Attitude is the combination of your thoughts, feelings and your action. Deficiency in one of them shows up as the weakest link, which creates a mediocre general result.

Let us use an example: We have Peter who works with sales. He has a strong action outwards, but thinks and feels negatively about himself as a sales person. The potential customer feels his negative attitude and denies the business deal. The customer is more likely drawn to a sales person with a winning attitude, since this makes the customer feel better and strengthens his belief of making the right choice.

Small margins like that makes certain people millionaires while others make nothing when the sell the same service or product. This is caused by your attitude, not luck as some might think.

Can you improve your attitude? Of course! Even if you have a negative attitude today you can change it to a winning attitude. Here are some exercises that can help you to create the winning attitude you want and need.

Exercises:

1. What kind of thoughts of yourself do you have?

2. Are they positive or negative?

3. Make sure you practice thinking positively in all situations

4. What kind of thoughts do you have about your customers (See step 1-3)

5. You can change your feelings with your thoughts. Think positively about something you feel negatively about, and change those feelings with your thoughts.

6. What about your action outwards? Do you act calmly or chaotic?

7. Make sure the customer feels comfortable with you all the time

8. Remember that everything is sales, whether you are a sales person or not. You sell an idea to your partner, manager, colleague, etc.

Write everything down on a piece of paper or on your computer. Writing down things makes them valid and your brain remember what you have written down much better than if you do not write them down. Continue then to write down what you want to change and your action plan, i.e. what you need to do, to change you thoughts and feelings. Follow this plan and you will soon get a winning attitude.

I hope you succeed in creating your own winning attitude!

Good Luck!

Create Success With Your Thoughts

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Have you thought of why we have to fight so hard to overcome the negative we carry around and to improve our self-esteem? Why we just cannot start to create success with our thoughts right here and now? This is a very interesting subject that could be discussed in eternity, but I will try to explain it in short.

Imagine your subconscious is like a glass of water that stores all feelings you have experienced, whether they are positive or negative.  You have filled your glass since you were born with negative and positive feeling depending on what you have experienced during your travel in life. Your subconscious also absorbed what kind of feelings your parents carried with them (providing you lived with your parents). It has been discovered that you can carry your social heritage with you from up to six generations back in time, so maybe you understand what you have to deal with here.

If you are coming from a background where everybody was safe and secure in themselves and financially stable, the possibility of you creating the same prerequisites without struggling is bigger. Unfortunately most of us come from totally different backgrounds and your glass of water has got a bad start with a poor self-esteem and poor economy. For most of us the glass is then overfilled with crap. A lot of people try to create success by filling the glass with positive things, but remember, we have mentioned the glass was already full.

The key for those who struggles with their current results, is to once for all admit what you carry with you when it comes to poor economy, health, relationships, etc. Once you have done that you know where you are. Then decide where you want to be by setting goals with a deadline. In order to achieve your goals and create success you must then replace the full glass of crap with new fresh water, i.e. change your habits, thoughts and way of looking at money, health and relationships. Each and every habit takes approximately 3 weeks to break, so depending on what you carry with you the change takes different long time.

This is the biggest reason why rich and successful families remain rich, while people with poor economy, health and relationships most often can see their misery handed down from one generation to the next.

This pattern can be broken by those who are dissatisfied with their situation. Do you want to change your situation? Contact us now for information of how we can help you.

Good Luck!

Why Are Some People More Successful Than Others?

Monday, July 14th, 2008

What is it that makes certain people successful while others are not? Only 5% of all people are really successful. What do they do that that differs from the rest? In this article you will discover the secrets behind their success.

Have you just like me sometimes been annoyed over why some people are better off, are more successful and succeed with everything they do, while you yourself struggle without getting it to work at all?

I am sure that we all recognize our selves in this situation, maybe not all the time but sometime when things do not get our way. Have you noticed that as long as you have that attitude, you do not get really satisfied with what you are doing. It is like there was an angry little bee inside us that want to get out, but the bee just gets angrier and angrier.  At last it starts hurting really bad and we develop a number of different symptoms of stress, like heart- and cardiac diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

If I now told you that you can get rid of the inner stress and at the same time get more balanced and successful. Would that be of interest? The only way to solve the annoying feeling inside is to find out the underlying cause. Let us say you are annoyed by people that are managing directors who makes a lot of money. There can be many causes but in this case it depends on your father that was a worker who got very pushed around by his CEO. Would it not be nice to let go of this infinite stress that you carry on?

What you can do is to heal this anger inside you. The secret is to take control over the situation and say to yourself: I release the anger I have inside myself that makes me angry over others that are more successful than I am. In this way you open up you inner soul and release the anger that looses its grip of you. You are now free to create unlimited success.

How To Achieve Your Goals

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Today we will look into the kinds of resistance you can run into when executing your action plan.

Once you have set a goal and started on your way toward reaching it, the real challenge begins.  Most of us have found ourselves in the following position at one time or another: we sit down on Monday morning with the planned calling list and action plan then, suddenly, panic appears just as we’re about to begin working.

There is a rather simple explanation why we often get scared, postpone things or have other reasons not to work on what we’ve committed to do.  It relates to the negative thoughts and actions that are weighing us down.

Let’s look into your current (X) programming - that is, the one that exists in your thoughts, feelings and body language - and how it affects the possibility of reaching your goals.  If you are satisfied with your current results, well then everything is fine and you do not need to read any more of this article.

But if you want to achieve new, more successful results (Y), then you need to remember how your (X) programming was created and understand why it hasn’t completely transformed into a positive (Y) one.

Let’s say you want to achieve a new big goal (Y1), and you have created an action plan and are ready to start on your journey to achieve all of your goals.  Suddenly it seems like everything goes wrong. You feel depressed, sick or dismayed. At this point, most people give up their goals and return to their mediocre (X) programming.

What we must understand is that we are people of habit and most of us are not open to change.  No matter how hard we initially worked on letting go of counterproductive thoughts and replacing them with positive ones, our whole system of feelings, attitudes and body language continues to radiate the (X) programming we started with.  It does everything it can to keep you from making those changes permanent.

But life is always changing, whether we like it or not.  So, why not decide to achieve the goals you are dreaming about no matter what gets in the way?  It can be done.

The only way to obtain a permanent (Y) successful programming is to walk straight through your fears and the excuses that are keeping you from reaching your goals.

It might feel extremely unpleasant for a while, but when you notice that you are starting to achieve your new goals despite that unpleasant feeling, you will have developed yourself even further in order to create even more success.

Remember that success comes when you least expect it, when you are so close to giving up but walk that extra mile anyway.  (Remember that Thomas Edison failed 9,999 times before he succeeded in inventing the light bulb.)

Always keep in mind that there will come a time — it will probably be a happy surprise — when you realize that you have already attained a measure of success and are self-confident about continuing to doing so.   That’s when you’ll realize that you now possess your new (Y) programming.  After that, it’s time to take care of the next challenge and start the process all over again.

So, what does your week look like?

Ø       Do you have new challenges that will make you win big?

Ø       Are you prepared to pay the price to reach success like Edison did?

Ø       Do you want results that by far exceed the usual?

Ø       Are you prepared to walk through your fears?

Ø       Are you prepared to make your dreams come true?

Consider this carefully since there is a need for a certain amount of power and courage to create your dream life.

Assignment:

1.       Identify your fears or excuses and write them down.

2.      Decide to overcome them.

3.      Perform the necessary activities to achieve your goal, even if they are unpleasant.

4.      Don’t give up!

Good Luck!

How To Set Goals

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Did you know that only 3% of all people set personal goals, but they account for 97% of all the income generated here on earth? That is a shocking figure nevertheless it is true.

This fact is also reflected in my coaching of other people; the people who set goals are far more successful than others. I you think it over it’s not that surprising. Think of all the successful athletes, business men, music stars, etc. They all set goals, otherwise they don’t know what they should strive for and wouldn’t know when they have achieved their goals.

Which part do you belong to, the 3% who set goals or the 97% who do not set goals? Which part would you wish to belong to? The 97% of all people who always need to worry about money and success, or the selective group of 3% who can focus all their energy on creating what they want?

During my coaching through the years the by far biggest concern almost all of my clients have is to get the finances in balance. That is why a financial goal should be part of you personal goals.

How do you then set good goals? Here are some advices.

1. You should have a burning interest in what you want to achieve
2. The goal shall be possible to measure
3. Set a due date when the goal shall be achieved (by the latest)
4. Write down the goal in present tense
5. Preferably you shall have goals that include finances, health and relationships
6. The goal shall be large enough so you are not really sure how to achieve it

The best way to start working towards achieving your goals is to create a goal card that you read 10 times every morning and 10 times every evening, preferably in front of a mirror so you can see yourself reading the goals. This activity will make you become one with you goals.

This is an example of a goal card:
- Before December 31:st 2008 I am grateful that I have an income of at least $ 50,000 per month, I run at least three miles three times a week and I spend at least 20 hours of quality time with my family each week.

Start with this exercise and continue for at least three weeks, reading your goals. After a while you will notice that you thoughts and behaviour start changing and you are on your way towards achieving your goals.

I wish you all the best luck!
